Standard Phone Line Monitoring:

How does it work?

When an alarm activation takes place, the alarm will dial our central station and upload all of the key information about the alarm and your home.   Our computers will instantly pull up your account information.   We then dial the home phone number.  If the call is answered we will ask for your verbal password.  If the correct word is given, then we can cancel the alarm activation.  If there is no answer, or if the wrong password is given, we will then call the local police dispatch center and alert them of the emergency.  We will then call the people that you have listed on your Emergency Contact list to advise them of the alarm activation.

Requirements:  Must have a Land Phone Line through Cox Communications or Century Link.  Voice over IP is NOT compatible or reliable. Example: (Vontage, T-Moble ect..)

2 Way Voice Monitoring:

How does it work?

2 WAY Voice Monitoring.  Is like having “ONSTAR” for your home.  When the alarm is activated, the alarm system will dial our central station and upload your account information.   A few seconds later our computers will dial your alarm system and connect directly to your keypad’s built-in microphone and speaker.  The alarm system’s siren will stop sounding at this point and there will be a few seconds of quiet time.  It’s during this time that the Operator can listen in to the home.    Our central station operator will then speak directly to you through the keypad.   The first thing they will say is “This is the Alarm Operator, may I have your password please?”    You will be able to speak directly to the operator.  If you give the correct password, then the operator will ask if any help is needed.   If there is no response or the incorrect password is given, our central station will contact the local police dispatch center and alert them of the alarm activation.  The operator will pass on any information that was obtained by listening in to the home to the police.  This can help verify the alarm activation by verifying there is actually someone in the home.

2 Way Voice can also used in combination with a medical emergency pendant.   It effectively creates a “I have fallen and can’t get up” type of medical response system.

Requirements:  This feature is now available on many of our systems.

GSM Cellular Monitoring:

How does it work?

Cellular monitoring uses a GSM Cellular Communicator that is added to any alarm system.  It uses it’s own unique EIN Number and connects via a nationwide GSM Cellular Network.  It is one of the most reliable types of monitoring because it is self contained.  It does not rely on a phone line that can be interrupted.   When an alarm activation takes place, the alarm will dial our central station through the cellular communicator and upload all of the key information about the alarm and your home.   Our computers will instantly pull up your account information.   We then dial your primary phone number.
